Route Description: This trip starts in Northern Botswana at the Chobe National Park and then crosses the border into Zambia where you can view the magnificent Victoria Falls. Fly up to the South Luangwa National Park where big game abounds and then experience Africa by canoe in the Lower Zambezi National Park.

Day 1 - Travel to Johannesburg from NYC
Day 2 - Johannesburg
Experience modern and inspiring works of local art at your luxuriuos hotel in the cosmopolitan suburb of Rosebank.
Days 3 to 5 - Chobe National Park
Cross the Zambezi River on boat and transfer to your luxury mobile camp in the Chobe National Park. You'll stay in 'Hemingway Style' safari tents and enjoy meals by the campfire shaded by many large trees.
In Chobe you'll experience the best of African wild game viewing, coming face to face with giant elephant herds along with buffalo, sable, lion, leopard, hippo, hyena, thousands of antelope and massive flocks of waterfowl flying their way toward the sunset.
Days 6 and 7 - Zambia
You'll stay in a luxurious tree house just 15 minutes upstream from magnificent Victoria Falls, where there are many amazing and unique activities at your fingertips - like canoeing and horseback riding along the Zambezi River, helicopter tours, bungee jumping and viewing elephants and other wildlife in the area.
Days 8 to 10 - South Luangwa Valley
The Luangwa National Park supports one of Africa's richest concentrations of game and birdlife, including over 50 species of large mammals and over 400 species of birds! Look for large elephant herds, buffalo, antelope, leopards and lions. You'll stay in spacious and comfortable chalets with private bathrooms.
Days 11 to 13 - Lower Zambezi
Your camp will be situated on the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi rivers under a huge canopy of winterthorn acacias - an amazingly beautiful site. From here you can take motor boat or canoeing safaris led by expert guides to view and photograph the wildlife and landscape of this untouched African wilderness.
Days 14 to 16 - Lower Zambezi
On day 14 you'll experience the wildlife from within your safe and sturdy canoe on your way to Mwambashi River Lodge downstream. During the peaceful journey you'll be immersed in the sights and sounds of the Zambezi and all the wildlife that call the river and its shores home.
The lower Zambezi is home to an amazing variety of wildlife. Besides elephants and lions, plains sightings of kudu, zebra, impala, warthog, bushbuck and baboons are commonplace.
During your time at Mwambashi you have the opportunity to spend the days canoeing, taking game drives in four-wheel drive vehicles in the Lower Zambezi National Park, fishing, and taking bush walks escorted by an armed guide with an emphasis on spoor, vegetation, birds, insects and bush lore. Night drives are also an option where leopard, hyena, porcupine, civet, genet and honeybadger are commonly sighted.
Day 17
On day 17 you depart for Johannesburg and then back to New York City.
