Days 1 to 3: Lemurs, Frogs, Chameleons deep in the rain forest
- Peireiras amphibian and reptile park - experience 68 of Madagascar's 140 endemic chameleon species at this park deep in the rain forest - including the rare leaf-tailed Gecko, as well as many different frogs, butterflies and moths
- Visit the Analamazaotra Reserve, home to the largest lemur, the indri indri, along with a tour of the many plant and animal species of the region
Days 4 to 6: The rainforest to Madagascar's beautiful industrial center
- Visit the untouched primate forest at Mantadia National Park to see many seldom-seen species of mammals, reptiles and birds
- Experience the Merina people in Antsirabe, an industrial center of Madagascar with beautiful buildings on tree-lined streets. See the man-powered rickshaws and representation of all 18 of Madagascar's tribes on a monolith at the center of town.
Days 7 to 10: Lush animal and plant habitat
- Entering a lush montaine rain forest, you'll Visit the Ranomafana Reserve and walk a loop watching rare birds, lemurs and plant species before experiencing the healing properties of the thermal hot springs.
- Stay in a unique and luxurious hotel built into the rocks on the edge of Isalo National Park with a wonderful swimming pool, restaurant and horse-riding facilities.
- At Isalo National Park, view the unusual eroded shapes of a massive sandstone massif along with kestrels, the Madagascar coucal, as well as Madagascar mango trees and Pandanum palms.
- Visit the sapphire mining town of Ilakaka and see locals and far Easterners engaged in the fascinating sapphire trade before staying in beachside bungalows in Tulear.
Days 11 to 14: Berenty Reserve
- Explore the world-renowned Berenty Reserve 3 hours outside of Fort Dauphin at the arid southern end of Madagascar, where you'll experience lemur, bird and other wildlife species among the splendor of this unique natural habitat.
